07 Jul The Prince’s Lead Your Own Business Program
Now in its third year, the 2017 P.L.Y.O.B. program saw 23 transitioning Defence members work on developing their own business ideas and successfully complete their intensive residential week here in Melbourne.
With two networking dinner events, numerous guest lecturers and even the early morning exercise bootcamps; we must also thank our education partner R.M.I.T, our corporate partners EY, CBA, DHA, as well as our scholarship providers; Bakers Delight, Bravery Trust, Defence Health, Diversified Property Group, Jules McLean and P&S Bassat Foundation for their wonderful support.
We would like to give special thanks to our guest speakers; Roy Mellon, Alumnus from the 2015 PLYOB Program, Vicky Gosling OBE, Director of Sage Foundation and Janet Latchford, Deputy Chancellor RMIT Council. As well as the RMIT program coordinators who ensured a smooth execution of engaging educational events. Last but not least, the Decent People for the memorable entertainment at RMIT’s celebratory Dinner.
If you are a PLYOB alumni and you are reading this please contact P.C.A. if you would like to be considered as a speaker or guest lecturer for our 2018 PLYOB. Good luck to the 2017 cohort on completing their Certificate IV in Small Business Management. Remember, once you have completed the course you will be paired up with an experienced mentor to help you further develop your business.
It was great to see so many familiar faces supporting the participants and the program – we look forward to seeing you all again in 2018. Applications are now open for PLYOB 2018, please encourage potential applicants to consider applying.
