The Get Into Program

S.Y.C in partnership with the Prince’s Trust International and The Prince’s Trust Australia have delivered 5 pilot programs providing young Australians with sector specific skills and work experience opportunities to help them get employment.

The pilot programs commenced January 2017 and concluded 30 June 2017, with a total of 54 young Australians completing their work experience across a wide variety of sectors; these include 2 x Get Into Retail programs, 1 x Get Into Social Care program, 1 x Get Into Traffic Management program, and 1x Get Into Childcare program.

Earlier this month, on the 8th of June, a graduation ceremony was held at Government House hosted by the Governor of South Australia. His Excellency Hieu Van Le AO. The Get Into participants, host employers and staff members from P.T.I, P.C.A and S.Y.C met at Government House in South Australia to celebrate the achievements of the participants involved and recognise the partner employers who ensure that these disadvantaged young people have every chance of gaining employment post completing their pilot programs.

PCA would like to give thanks to Maddy Kavanagh who came out to Australia from the Prince’s Trust International mid-January, seconded as the Project Manager. Maddy has been instrumental in the delivery of the pilot programs and P.C.A are extremely grateful for her support. We wish Maddy all the best with her return to the UK, 30th June.
