Ready to explore, start or grow a business?

Our Enterprise programme supports transitioning Defence members, military veterans, reservists, and ADF partners of current or former serving members. Our free programmes are designed to help you:

explore

Build the confidence to pursue self-employment, including entrepreneurship and small business through our facilitated Launch Lab programme, offered quarterly.

Learn the fundamentals of small business ownership and entrepreneurship while enhancing the skills you need to thrive in the rapidly changing world of work, including as an intrapreneur within a business.

If you're an ADF partner or spouse, we help you explore the benefits of a portable, agile business, including how to set up your business for your military lifestyle.

If you're struggling to find the time to join Launch Lab, we offer a free, self-directed programme called Business Basics (launching November 2022).

START

We help veteran and ADF family members with the necessary support to get their business ideas off the ground through our Enterprise Accelerator, held biannually.

We also offer nurturing programmes and activities for new businesses, early-stage startups, and growth-oriented small businesses through our Enterprise Meetups, held regularly throughout the year and accessed via our Slack Community.

connect & GROW

Connect with like-minded business owners, industry experts, and mentors.

Small business doesn't have to be isolating. Let us help you build your professional network across Australia.

We collaborate with industry experts and business leaders to help you create a long-lasting, dynamic ecosystem of support.

We support Australia's veteran and ADF family entrepreneurs throughout the journey of starting a business, from exploration to ideation and growth.

Every entrepreneurial journey starts with an idea — Launch Lab gives you the tools you need to make your idea a reality while connecting you with likeminded veterans and family members across Australia.

Whatever stage on your journey, Launch Lab helps you figure out the life you want and, if appropriate, safely build a business to suit it.

Along the way, we'll support you to build the skills and confidence you need to prepare for, and respond to, the rapidly changing world of work. So if you decide self-employment isn't right for you, or you need a sea change, you've got some great tools in the toolbox to help you take your next step.

If you have already started a business or a side hustle, we encourage you to start your journey with us here. This programme is great for carving out much-needed time to work on your business, with the right foundations to support your business' growth.

What we cover

  • Explore career opportunities and build a business to suit you and your goals.
  • Understand key trends in the Australian small business landscape.
  • Identifying business opportunities.
  • Applying human-centered design tools to support sustainable business development and growth.
  • Build confidence to innovate in life and work.
  • Engage with new entrepreneurial networks and communities.

How it works

Each programme includes four professionally facilitated sessions, held across two days.

Our Launch Lab programme is delivered separately for veterans and ADF family members. We work with no more than 15 participants per programme to ensure our content is tailored and relevant to your circumstances.

With this in mind, we've designed an Australian-first entrepreneurship programme to support partners and spouses into self-employment.

We help you explore the benefits of a portable, agile business and how to set up your business for your military lifestyle.

Military families are critical to our Australian Defence Force, but conditions of service - like caring responsibilities, regional postings, and personnel absences - can impact spouse/partner employment.

Community is key, and we'd love to share ours with you. Support your business by engaging in our robust network of resources, networks and mentors.

From virtual meetups with business experts and industry-based community catch-ups, to connecting with local support services and participating in Buy Veteran initiatives, we're always innovating new programmes and events to support our growing community.
