Register Your Interest: Enterprise for Veterans Boot Camp (Brisbane)
May 13 @ 9:00 am - May 16 @ 4:00 pm
After months of consultation with the veteran community, and in partnership with DeakinCo, we’re pleased to launch our new flagship program in Brisbane this May.
Designed to be flexible and accessible, our re-imagined boot camp aims to inspire and enhance veterans’ entrepreneurial mindsets, skills and networks by focusing on key enterprise skills, including: problem solving; critical thinking; innovation; digital literacy; communication; self-management; and teamwork.
The boot camp is:
- An experiential, learn by doing immersive
- Participants work in small teams over three days to solve a growth opportunity for a real social enterprise, not for profit, or veteran-owned business
- Framed by ten enterprise skills, the immersive blends design thinking, business model canvas and start-up methodology in a ‘just in time’ approach
- Reflective learning, supporting participants to apply immersive methodology to their own business idea and reframe existing skills to business
We accept up to 25 participants per boot camp, and will work in small teams throughout the immersive. Veterans, transitioning defence members, and family members of current or former serving members are eligible to participate. Applicants must be able to attend all three days (please hold 13 – 16 May). A pre-work webinar will also be held the week of 6 May.
Please register your interest to attend the program. All expressions of interest are required to fill out an application form to be considered for the program.
Applicants will receive a letter of acceptance or apology by Monday, 29 April. The full program will be released on 1 May 2019.
Applicants should apply for the program via the link here. Although applications are accepted on a rolling basis, we encourage you to apply by Thursday, 18 April to be eligible to participate in the May boot camp.
Boot camps will also be held in Sydney in July 2019, in Melbourne in October 2019, and in Canberra in early 2020
