Welcome to our new Prince’s Lead Your Own Business Advisory Council members

Prince’s Trust Australia would like to welcome two new members to our Prince’s Lead Your Own Business Advisory Council – Gary Hogan AM CSC and Robert Joske OAM.

The Advisory Council is responsible for ensuring The Prince’s Lead Your Own Business program continues to grow and effectively assists entrepreneurial Defence personnel to transition into a career in business.

Gary Hogan AM CSCPolicy Officer (Defence) with the Victorian Government’s Department of Economic Development, Jobs, Transport and Resources 
A retired Army Brigadier, Mr Hogan was Director General Scientific and Technical Analysis at the Department of Defence. Fluent in Mandarin, Vietnamese, Bahasa Indonesia and Tok Pisin, he has held senior diplomatic appointments in Hanoi, Jakarta and Port Moresby. Mr Hogan is a graduate of China’s National Defence University and the first foreign graduate of Indonesia’s National Institute of Governance (Lemhannas). He is a former Professor of China Studies at the US National Defense University and is a regular public commentator on Australia-Asia relations. Mr Hogan is an RMIT Council member and the former Director for National Security at KPMG Australia.

Robert Joske OAM – Founder and Managing Director of Joske Management, a company that manages the business affairs of high profile celebrities and professional sportsmen and women

A Duntroon Graduate, Mr Joske left a successful military career in 1992 to take up major event management in the United States. Robert returned from New York and Atlanta in 1996 where he had been the International Program Director of Olympic Aid Atlanta and tasked to present the worldwide acclaimed program in twelve nations simultaneously. He has produced and directed numerous major entertainment events including Coca Cola’s ‘Redfest’ during the Sydney Olympic Games, Nelson Mandela’s Reconciliation Concerts and ‘Beating the Retreat Spectacular’ at Port Arthur.

Robert manages the business affairs of high profile luminaries and professional sportsmen and women through Robert Joske Management. Whilst people management is an integral part of the military culture, his management of celebrities and sports persons began in 2000. Robert managed Steve Waugh AO at the height of his career from 2000 to 2006 and managed George Gregan AM for the last three years of his Wallaby and Brumbies contracts. He is a Board Member of Forces Advisory Committee on Entertainment and on the Board of Defence Plus TV.
